- Pull parts daily to fill the service tickets
- Able to access online Service Manuals and IPL's to perform research and assistance to the technicians while in the field
- Ability to multitask as can be high volume and quick paced environment
- Drive company van daily to pick up parts at local Distributor
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, management, and the public
- Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adhere to the company's policies and relevant health and safety procedures
- Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Parts Department Manager as needed which may include cross-training in related positions
- Job Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Basic Computer Skills and Basic Data Entry Skills
- Knowledge of inventory control
- The ability to safely lift 50 pounds and the physical ability to work under varied circumstances and environments (office, warehouse, etc)
- Day Shift (Monday-Friday) 7AM – 5PM (100% on-site)
As an appliance repair technician, you’ll work with anything from dishwashers to microwaves to dryers. In other words, you’ll need to be fairly knowledgeable about large appliances, portable appliances, mechanical work, as well as electrical work.
You’ll deal with more than just appliances, though, as a repair technician, you’ll have to deal with people, too.
Appliance repair technicians must also have skills in high mechanical aptitude, have impeccable written and verbal communication skills, work adeptly with repair tools, be okay with lifting heavy machinery, and of course, be incredibly skilled in troubleshooting problems.
