C&W Appliance Service, a 65 year-old, family-owned and operated business, is looking for a Parts Department Associate at its Dallas, Texas facility.   
 
 The ideal candidate is self-motivated, a quick learner, able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines, successful verbal and written communicator, able to work well in a team environment and have a positive attitude.  
 
The candidate need not have prior experience and would be trained on-site on processes and programs.
 
The candidate must have a basic knowledge of computer skills and be able to communicate professionally over the phone with internal team members and customers.  
 
It would be helpful if the candidate was mechanically inclined and if they possessed the ability to multitask and to adapt to new procedures quickly.
  
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Pull parts daily to fill the service tickets
  • Able to access online Service Manuals and IPL's to perform research and assistance to the technicians while in the field 
  • Ability to multitask as can be high volume and quick paced environment
  • Drive company van daily to pick up parts at local Distributor
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, management, and the public 
  • Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adhere to the company's policies and relevant health and safety procedures 
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Parts Department Manager as needed which may include cross-training in related positions
 
  • Job Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Basic Computer Skills and Basic Data Entry Skills
  • Knowledge of inventory control 
  • The ability to safely lift 50 pounds and the physical ability to work under varied circumstances and environments (office, warehouse, etc)
  • Day Shift (Monday-Friday) 7AM – 5PM (100% on-site)
 
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
