We are seeking an exceptional Wholesale Assistant to work with wholesale staff in scheduling/arranging appointments, communicating with wholesale customers & vendors to arrange the sales and shipments of truckloads of appliances. 

You will be handling incoming phone calls, greeting & assisting wholesale customers, preparing shipping manifests, tracking incoming/outgoing loads of appliances, entering orders, receiving payments, as well as other duties. 

We are seeking applicants who are organized, write clearly and are proficient with the use of computers as well as basic Microsoft office programs, such as Outlook, Word & Excel. Experience with inventory tracking software would be beneficial. A pleasing personality with strong communication skills is highly valued. A bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish verbal communication as well as written are not required but would be beneficial. 

About K&A:

K&A Appliance has been family owned since 1976. Buying predominately new, but scratch and dent appliances from various manufacturers & selling them on both wholesale & retail levels, K&A has been experiencing rapid growth & success in the scratch & dent appliance industry.
 
Typical working hours for this position:
 
Monday through Friday 9am -5:30pm
Fridays occasionally until 7:00pm
Occasionally working on Saturdays 9am to 4pm
Working 40 to 47 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Handling incoming calls and other communications.
  • Recording information as needed.
  • Greeting & assisting wholesale Customers.
  • Entering customer orders using company software.
  • Receiving/entering customer payments.
  • Creating shipping manifests for loads of appliances.
  • Creating Bill of Ladings for tractor/trailer drivers
  • Scheduling shipments incoming/outgoing.
  • Tracking trailer loads of appliances incoming/outgoing.
  • Communicating with warehouse staff regarding inventory location/re-location.
  • Updating paperwork & maintaining documents.
  • Attending to other requests of Wholesale & Executive leadership
  • General & Retail office work as needed
Requirements:

  • High school diploma, minimum.
  • Experience working in an office environment or in customer service.
  • Ability to write clearly and enter computer data accurately.
  • Warm personality with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to politely but firmly relay company policies & procedures with wholesale customers. 
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, under limited supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize & prioritize while under pressure.
  • Willingness to assist co-workers as needed.
  • Accurate skills in basic mathematics.
  • Availability to work during normal Hours of Operation M-F & periodically on Saturdays.
  • Experience using NetSuite ERP software not required, but beneficial.
  • A bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish verbal communication as well as written are not required but would be beneficial.
