As an Appliance Repair Technician at BA Appliance Repair Service, you are a vital part of our team, ensuring the efficient maintenance and repair of major household appliances such as refrigerators, dryers, washers, stoves, and dishwashers. Upholding our commitment to respect and professionalism, you’ll deliver courteous service to all customers and collaborate effectively with our Cincinnati-based team.
- Diagnose and repair appliances on-site, addressing issues like control board failures, door latch repairs, and sealed system components with precision.
- Provide detailed cost estimates for repairs and collect payments, ensuring accurate documentation for COD or warranty claims.
- Optimize material use and maintain company vehicles and tools, including tablet-based technology for job tracking.
- Complete daily route sheets, invoices, and weekly reports, integrating with systems like HouseCall Pro.
- Support team efforts by cross-training on luxury brands or outdoor equipment as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean record, suitable for local travel in the Cincinnati area.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Comfort using tablet-based tools for scheduling, diagnostics, and customer updates.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally, with the physical stamina for varied work conditions.
- Flexible hours, with no work on weekends.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
While performing duties, you may stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, or crawl, often in customer homes. You must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly, with occasional heavier lifts up to 100 pounds, ensuring safety and efficiency.

- Prior experience in appliance repair or a similar field, or demonstrated aptitude for repairing and working with gas, water, and electric systems.

As an appliance repair technician, you’ll work with anything from dishwashers to microwaves to dryers. In other words, you’ll need to be fairly knowledgeable about large appliances, portable appliances, mechanical work, as well as electrical work.
You’ll deal with more than just appliances, though, as a repair technician, you’ll have to deal with people, too.
Appliance repair technicians must also have skills in high mechanical aptitude, have impeccable written and verbal communication skills, work adeptly with repair tools, be okay with lifting heavy machinery, and of course, be incredibly skilled in troubleshooting problems.
