Founded in 2013, Vision Appliance Repair LLC is a family-owned and operated business proudly serving the Washington, DC area for the last 10 years. We are authorized servicers for several major brands and are now looking for an experienced professional to join our team.

We are specifically seeking an Appliance Repair Technician with strong experience in high-end appliances, primarily Sub-Zero refrigerators and products. Most work orders will be Sub-Zero related, so prior experience with luxury and built-in refrigeration is highly preferred.

This is a commission-based position.

Position: Appliance Repair Technician (High-End / Sub-Zero Focus)

As an Appliance Repair Technician, you will be a key member of our team, responsible for the high-quality and efficient diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of Sub-Zero and other premium appliances. You will also help grow the business by identifying opportunities to recommend additional services when appropriate. You are expected to demonstrate professionalism, respect, and courtesy with all customers and coworkers.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, dispatch, and management

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair Sub-Zero and other high-end home appliances in customers’ homes

  • Install appliances and related equipment when needed

  • Verify proper operation after service and ensure high-quality workmanship

  • Provide clear explanations of findings and repair options to customers

  • Provide accurate cost estimates for repairs and collect payment/payment information for work performed

  • Complete all required documentation: invoices, job notes, daily route sheets, and weekly reports

  • Use company resources and materials efficiently

  • Maintain a professional appearance and uphold our company standards on every job

  • Perform other related duties as needed, which may include cross-training in related areas

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Proven experience repairing high-end appliances (Sub-Zero experience strongly preferred)

  • Ability to navigate and use tablet-based technology for dispatching, invoicing, and documentation

  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis and up to 100 pounds occasionally without assistance

  • Physically able to perform hands-on work, including standing, kneeling, bending, and working in tight spaces

  • Flexible schedule (no weekends required)

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the technician may be required to:

  • Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods

  • Reach with hands and arms

  • Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

  • Talk and hear in person and over the phone

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (and occasionally up to 100 pounds)

Compensation

  • Commission-based pay structure

  • Earning potential based on productivity, quality of work, and number of completed jobs

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
