About Us
We're a tight-knit team of a few dedicated individuals providing the Hays County area with honest and reliable appliance repairs. With steady 20-30% annual growth over the last 4 years, we're building something real—and we want you to be part of it from the ground up. No massive corporate structure here; you'll see your impact every day as we expand. But let's be upfront: as a small operation, we're still scaling, so some perks (like full benefits packages) will come as we grow. What we can promise now is no mandatory weekends (unless you want the extra hours), flexible scheduling to fit your life, and a boss who actually listens.
The Role
You'll start as a Trainee Appliance Repair Technician for the first 4-6 months. During this time, you'll ride along with our experienced tech, learning hands-on diagnostics, repairs, and customer service for washers, dryers, fridges, ovens, and more. We'll invest in your training—no rushing into solo calls until you're fully confident and capable.
Once you've gained the experience (typically after 4-6 months), you'll transition to running your own service calls independently, troubleshooting issues, ordering parts, and delivering the top-notch service our customers expect.
What We're Looking For
This isn't for everyone, and we're being direct: We're seeking someone who gets the small-company vibe and is excited by it. If you're tired of being a number at a big chain and want a hands-on role where you help shape the business, this is your opportunity. Ideal candidate:
- Mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn (1+ years appliance repair experience is a plus, but we'll train the right motivated person).
- EPA certification or willingness to obtain it (we'll support and pay for it).
- Reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed), basic tools, and clean driving record.
- Great communicator who's proactive, reliable, and customer-focused.
- Ready to grow with us: Start as a trainee, build skills, and take on more responsibility
Start with competitive trainee pay: $17.50–$25/hour (based on experience). Fully trained, you will receive $25/hour.
Once you are running calls on your own, then you can make up to 60k-100k annually with no weekends required.
As you progress to independent tech (after training), expect pay increases reflecting your new skills and responsibilities.
But here's the real draw—if you stick with us through the growth phase, you'll have clear paths to advance: Becoming a lead tech or service manager. Better compensation, profit-sharing, and full benefits (health, retirement) will roll out as revenue climbs. We've proven we grow—now join us to make it happen and share in the success.
As an appliance repair technician, you’ll work with anything from dishwashers to microwaves to dryers. In other words, you’ll need to be fairly knowledgeable about large appliances, portable appliances, mechanical work, as well as electrical work.
You’ll deal with more than just appliances, though, as a repair technician, you’ll have to deal with people, too.
Appliance repair technicians must also have skills in high mechanical aptitude, have impeccable written and verbal communication skills, work adeptly with repair tools, be okay with lifting heavy machinery, and of course, be incredibly skilled in troubleshooting problems.
