We’re a small team providing the Hays County area with honest, reliable appliance repairs. With our new owner we’ve grown steadily by focusing on doing the job right, and we’re continuing to build.
The Role
You’ll start as a Trainee Appliance Repair Technician for the first 4–6 months.
What You’ll Learn and Do
- Ride along and assist on daily service calls
- Learn how to diagnose and repair appliances
- Support with disassembly, part replacement, and reassembly
- Learn how to communicate with customers professionally
- Use mobile software for job notes and documentation
- Help keep the work van organized and stocked
- Progress toward handling your own calls
Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, GE, Frigidaire, Samsung, LG, Bosch, and other major brands
What We’re Looking For
This role is for someone who wants to learn a trade and grow with a company.
- Be dependable and show up on time
- Be willing to learn and take direction
- Have basic mechanical aptitude
- Be comfortable working with tools
- Communicate clearly and respectfully
- Be open to feedback and improvement
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to work in tight spaces and different environments
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Trainee pay: $17–$22.50/hour based on experience
$25/hour once you are running calls independently
Earning potential of $60K–$100K annually as you grow

As an appliance repair technician, you’ll work with anything from dishwashers to microwaves to dryers. In other words, you’ll need to be fairly knowledgeable about large appliances, portable appliances, mechanical work, as well as electrical work.
You’ll deal with more than just appliances, though, as a repair technician, you’ll have to deal with people, too.
Appliance repair technicians must also have skills in high mechanical aptitude, have impeccable written and verbal communication skills, work adeptly with repair tools, be okay with lifting heavy machinery, and of course, be incredibly skilled in troubleshooting problems.
