JOB DESCRIPTION
- Safely load, secure, and transport appliances using proper equipment (dollies, straps, ramps, liftgates as applicable).
- Deliver major appliances to customer homes and place units accurately per site constraints and customer instructions.
- Support installation/set-up tasks (based on training/assignment), including leveling units, connecting water lines (where permitted), attaching anti-tip brackets (where required), and verifying basic operation.
- Remove and haul away old appliances when scheduled; follow recycling/disposal procedures.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding arrival windows, site readiness requirements, and on-site issues/escalations.
- Receive inbound freight: verify counts, inspect for damage, and document exceptions.
- Stage product for upcoming deliveries and coordinate pick/pack readiness with dispatch/operations.d.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse (5S mindset), including equipment and staging lanes..
- Valid California driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- 1+ year(s) in delivery, warehouse, moving, or field service (appliance/furniture delivery preferred).
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and professionalism in customer homes.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening consistent with company policy
- Regular lifting/maneuvering of heavy appliances with team-lift and equipment (commonly up to 75 lbs; heavier with assistance/equipment).
- Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, kneeling, climbing stairs, and working in tight spaces.
- Ability to work safely in varied residential environments and weather conditions.

As an appliance repair technician, you’ll work with anything from dishwashers to microwaves to dryers. In other words, you’ll need to be fairly knowledgeable about large appliances, portable appliances, mechanical work, as well as electrical work.
You’ll deal with more than just appliances, though, as a repair technician, you’ll have to deal with people, too.
Appliance repair technicians must also have skills in high mechanical aptitude, have impeccable written and verbal communication skills, work adeptly with repair tools, be okay with lifting heavy machinery, and of course, be incredibly skilled in troubleshooting problems.
