K&A Appliance has a great reputation in the community for service, products, customer experience & work environment. Having been experiencing rapid growth K&A Appliance has openings for full-time Warehouse Supervisor at their Greenfield & other facilities in Lancaster County.

The Warehouse Supervisor will follow directions from the Warehouse Manager & instruct/supervise Warehouse Associates in their fulfillment of those directions. 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supervising warehouse staff, scanning appliances incoming/outgoing & being moved between multiple warehouses in Lancaster County & to our satellite store. Managing wholesale loads of appliances assuring accurate documentation. Working with the Wholesale and Warehouse managers in regards to wholesale customers & products

unloading and loading trailers, loading appliances into various vehicles for retail customers, cleaning appliances, handling freight properly to avoid damage, operating 2-wheel hand dolly and pallet jack, help maintain a clean warehouse. Successful candidates must be able to perform heavy lifting, have an excellent attendance record and a high degree of accuracy. Prior appliance handling experience is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, reach, grasp, bend and stack appliances for up to 10 hours at a time.
  • Be able to read & write in English.
  • Must have at least 2 years of being employed in a position of leadership, having been responsible for directing and being accountable for the functions of 3 or more employees at a time.
  • Be able to work with & effectively use company technology, such as a hand-help scanning device, entering & selecting data accurately in a repetitive function.
  • Be able to count & track incoming & outgoing loads of appliances going into or coming out of commercial size trailers.
  • Perform certain Warehouse Associate duties, including but not limited to loading/unloading & moving appliances.
  • Stand for long periods of time and walk continuously.
  • Supervisor may be required to lift up to 50 lbs on their own, lift more weight with assistance, and safely maneuver heavy appliances (including large refrigerators & ranges) on their own, using only a 2 wheel dolly.
  • Must have a valid & clean PA Driver's License.
  • Being able to communicate in Spanish is not required but would be beneficial.

Arrangements:

  • Closed Sundays & 6 major holidays
  • Working 40 to 50 hours per week, as needed
  • Starting pay rate $20.00 to $25.00 per hour 
  • Annual Reviews & possibly mid-term reviews
  • Weekly payroll, direct deposited
  • After 3 months, qualify for discounts off qualifying household appliances for employee & immediate family.
  • After 3 months, qualify for paid time off (earned throughout the year) & holiday pay
  • After 3 months, qualify to participate in company 401k plan, with a company match up to 5%
  • (No Health Insurance is provided at this time)
Must be available to work up to 50 hours a week, 7am - 5:30pm Monday through Friday, & occasional Saturdays
Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
