K&A Appliance has been family owned since 1976. Buying predominately new, but scratch and dent appliances from various manufacturers & selling them on both wholesale & retail levels, K&A continues to experience growth & success in the scratch & dent appliance industry.
Education and Skills Required:
The Retail Manager must have proven experience as a Sales leader or having worked in a similar role. They must possess excellent organizational and leadership skills; and have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. The position requires proficiency in the use of all standard business software, databases and information systems. They must also have a good understanding of research methods and data analysis techniques. Managers must be problem solvers who have a positive attitude and can handle a fast-paced environment. Experience in marketing would be beneficial, but are not required. Must have a valid PA driver's license.
Position Responsibilities:
- Receive instruction & direction from Upper Management to assure procedures, policies & communications are relayed to & carried through by retail sales associates & retail office staff.
- Make sure showrooms are replenished with appliances & that sales/office staff are keeping up with electronic tags for newly arrived units.
- Assure that information that is relayed to customers from time of sale, carries through the process all the way to delivery/installation of customers’ purchases.
- Oversee customer satisfaction & implement follow-up communications.
- Provide input in potential marketing campaigns.
- Assure consistency in promotions, advertising outlets, information on company’s web-site, & what is displayed in each showroom.
- Respond quickly to any customer issues that may arise.
- Work with Social Media Marketing Associate to assure continuity of posts to reflect accurate customer experience.
- Track, encourage & reward quality performance of sales staff.
- Track competitive pricing to assure our customers are seeing significant savings on our scratch & dent inventory.
- Track appliance rebate offers & their deadlines as provided by manufacturers & other provisioners.
- Be involved in marketing campaigns intended to drive foot traffic into our retail locations, as well as track the effectiveness of each campaign.
- Monitor company’s online presence & reputation keeping it current & responsive.
- Adequate staffing will be anticipated & prepared for for Friday evening & Saturday skeleton crews, while the quality of service will be gauged and addressed in the areas of sales.
- Other responsibilities as may be presented per review of candidate’s experience & capabilities.
Compensation:
Pay structure & rate to be negotiated based on candidate’s experience, skill-set & willing-ness to manage multiple areas of responsibility.
